Euro 2020 at Saint Petersburg Stadium
Although it only opened in 2017, the Saint Petersburg stadium has already had several names. The venue is known to football fans as the Gazprom arena, but during Euro 2020, the stadium is not allowed to carry the name of the Russian gas company. The names Krestovsky Stadium (referring to its location on Krestovsky Island) and Zenit Stadium (after the home team, Zenit Saint Petersburg) are also still common. During the European Championship, the arena will operate under the name of Saint Petersburg Stadium, as it did for the 2017 Confederations Cup and the 2018 World Cup.
During Euro 2020, Saint Petersburg will host the Group B games together with Copenhagen. The teams from Russia and Belgium, who will play two games each in the group stage, have good memories of playing at the venue: both teams won games here during the 2018 World Cup. The Russian team will also be looking forward to using their home advantage. In the Quarter-final, the English national team could also play at Saint Petersburg stadium if they finish second in their group and win their next match. Possible opponents include Germany and France, among others.
Attend Euro 2020 matches at Saint Petersburg Stadium by private jet
Since Russia is such a large country, it is highly likely that large numbers of home fans will use scheduled flights to fly to Saint Petersburg. This goes without saying for most international fans. Therefore, scheduled flights to Pulkovo airport in Saint Petersburg will be in high demand around the dates of the Euro 2020 matches.
Even if the scheduled airlines are not able to meet the huge demand, private jet flights to St Petersburg are still an option. This way, you can plan your trip to St Petersburg individually and avoid crowds at check-in, thanks to the more relaxed check-in procedures at the much quieter General Aviation Terminal. Of course, you can plan your arrival and departure dates according to your own requirements: would you prefer to charter a private jet for a quick trip to catch a particular match or plan a short holiday in Saint Petersburg in addition to the game, so that you can enjoy the sights of the city and the Euro 2020 atmosphere?
Deutsche-Privatjet customers particularly value our outstanding service and excellent international network. This means we can usually secure one of the sought-after landing slots at Pulkovo airport for our clients, even when there is high demand around the Euro 2020 dates. If this turns out not to be possible for enquiries at the very last minute we will, with your agreement, plan your flight to an alternative airport, and can also coordinate your onward journey to the stadium. With regard to onward travel: if you are keen to avoid the traffic jams and crowds around the stadium, we would also be happy to organise a helicopter shuttle between the destination airport and the stadium. To provide this service, we always work with our sister company, Deutsche-Helikopter.
The size of your private jet and the on-board equipment and layout will, of course, be tailored to your requirements. Most individuals and small groups prefer smaller, more economical models. On the other hand, for large groups and VIPs, the larger jets in our fleet are more suitable. For every journey with us, you can look forward to the comfort and convenience of a private flight, with bespoke catering, and the cabin arranged according to your wishes.
