Last week, the air ambulance department of the Deutsche-Privatjet organised a challenging patient transport from London (GB) to Houston (USA) for the member of a high-ranking Asian family. The chronically ill patient was due to receive the best possible medical treatment there – treatment which could not be guaranteed in his home country. As such, the patient’s sister turned to the specialists for worldwide patient transfers of the Deutsche-Privatjet to arrange the transport in an ambulance jet equipped for intensive care.
As usual, we got to work quickly, and were once again able to arrange the entire patient transport in a short space of time and in line with our proven and utmost patient-friendly bed-to-bed principle. Within a space of just ten hours, we were able to provide a Cessna Citation Sovereign ambulance jet at London Biggin Hill Airport. This international airport was particularly suited to the fast and discrete VVIP ambulance flight as London Biggin Hill specialises in business and ambulance flights. The patient was picked up at his London address and transported directly to the airport by ambulance. From there, he was taken to the USA by air ambulance. To ensure maximum safety on board the rescue aircraft, the patient was placed in the care of an experienced medical team for the duration of the entire ambulance flight. Upon his arrival at G. Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, the patient was transported to the respective clinic, where he was delivered safely into the care of the American doctors. The patient’s family was impressed with our fast and reliable service, as well as the smooth patient transport on board the aircraft.
